Causing a stir at Fashion Week were the jaw dropping new campaign images for Mugler’s AW 2011 ‘Anatomy of Change’ shot by Mariano Vivanco and retouched by our own Chris Roome. This campaign boasts a creative team including Nicola Formichetti and the one and only Lady Gaga!

Taking our breath away is model Rick Genest, more popularly known as “Zombie Boy” who is also Nicola Formichetti’s muse for this collection. Tattooed from head to foot this was an unusual beauty retouch for Chris to complete, as normal skin tones and textures were replaced with tattooed contours of the human anatomy. "To be a good retoucher it is useful to have a comprehensive understanding of the human physique however this is a first for me to actually retouch skin that represents the anatomical form!” comments Chris.

These powerful black and white images are running in parallel to a larger campaign including a promotional video for Mugler directed by Mariano Vivanco & featuring Lady Gaga latest song. In addition the latest front cover for Billboard magazine features Lady Gaga in Mugler clothing. This editorial retouched by Chris can be viewed in our covers section on the website.
