"Cows with attitude! How fantastic!" Rainer Usselmann comments on his latest project with award winning wildlife and nature photographer Britta Jaschinski. This collection of portfolio images imbues the ordinary dairy cows with an uncanny and statuesque presence.
Initially apprehensive on entering the cowshed turned makeshift studio, over 40 cows warmed to Britta’s photography, presenting their strong features to the camera. Rainer then took a final edit of 6 images through several stages of retouching to create a sense of painterly gravitas that would emphasise the cows' unique personalities.
Rainer explains “Britta and I, are very pleased with the outcome, it is really intriguing to see how different they are, unique hairstyles and all!”
Britta’s work can be viewed on her website www.brittaphotography.com which features her back catalogue and further information on her current exhibitions.
