Easy Off!

“It was a lovely, yummy cherry pie…. But the oven wasn’t cleaned with Easy Off so the ghosts of baking past were hanging around….” This was one of our recent briefs to create the latest campaign image for oven cleaner brand, Easy Off.

“When a brief is received, we always look into the best methods for executing the project, whether this is to create the image completely in CGI, taking the retouching route or using a combination of both” explains Director, Richard Tisdall. “This way we can offer clients cost effective solutions without compromising creativity.”

It would have been hard to photograph the steam in the perfect positioning so this project was the ideal opportunity for the Happy Finish CGI team and retoucher Alexis Goodwin to showcase their creative skills in merging together elements of photography, CGI and illustration to create the perfect image.

Alexis, the latest retoucher to be showcased in our online portfolios was able to utilise his illustration background to manipulate steam into the shape of fish and garlic. This was then combined with the clients’ perfect dish and oven, which were created in CG. “This was a great project to work on as the client wanted a creative image and we were able to combine different techniques and elements together to create exactly what the art director was looking for” mentions Alex.
