August 2009
We proudly present Harvey Nichols ‘Fashion Statement’, winner of the 2009 D&AD award for best press ad, retouched by our very own Rainer Usselmann.
Photographer Jonathan de Villiers stayed true to his purist roots, so photographic realism was paramount for the tongue-in-cheek nature of the concept. Together, Jonathan, Rainer and the creative team from DDB ensured that international luxury brand Harvey Nichols continued its tradition of award winning campaigns and quirky shop window designs.
“Everyone on this project relished the creative challenge,” Happy Finish MD Stuart Waplington tells us, “and it’s great to get recognition for your efforts, especially from such a distinguished arbiter as the D&AD as it reflects well on everyone involved, and adds value to our client's brand. It just goes to show what we can achieve with a creative brief and inspiring post-production all the while keeping costs low.”
