Light streams ahead for BT
Launched this week was the next installment of BT's fibre optic campaign aptly named Light Streams. Happy Finish are proud to have once again teamed up with the creatives at AMV to produce the print adverts.
Combining the super talented skills of two of the Happy Finish artists, Matt Painter and Vahakn Voperian, Aspects of CGI, illustration and retouching were utilised to create the final images.
“This project is a perfect example of the benefits of utilising the skills of different disciplines within the Happy Finish team” explains account manager, Matt Wilson. The concept required light flows to form recognisable shapes, this would have been hard to photograph, especially forming spaceships!”
By creating these objects and light trails in CGI they could then be manipulated by Vahakn in retouch, adding glows and blurs to bring out BT’s signature blue. Additional illustration software, Flame Painter was also utilised to add explosions of light to the Spaceship and emphasise the trails of swirling light to truly bring these objects to fibre optic life!
