we write the future with Nike
Happy Finish have collaborated with agency Wieden & Kennedy to create sports giant Nike’s thrilling “Write the Future” campaign highly anticipating the upcoming Fifa World Cup 2010. Our CG artists and retouchers have worked tirelessly to create heroic statues of footballing legends for billboards and 3D statues worldwide.
A real team effort involving artists Ian, Simon, Matt, Wesley, Tim, Alex, Vahakn and Chris transformed 14 footballing icons into marble and bronze statues during crucial match moments. The CG data from Nike’s print campaign later enabled model makers 3D Culture in Germany to create 100% anatomically accurate real life statues for Nike Town Locations. Ribery’s 3D statue revealed last week in Berlin created an unprecedented amount of excitement for the 2010 World cup games, we have included some shots of the making.
The statues are part of a tripartite campaign which includes an extended “Write the Future” three minute video and billboard on display throughout the world. More info can be found on the Nike website and in the current issue of 442 magazine.
